Morphological and Functional Characteristics of the Microenvironment After Pleural Implantation of Biosynthetic Materials

The objective : to study morphological changes in tissues after implantation of a bioresorbable material synthesized on the basis polylactide (PLA) and polycaprolactone (PCL) various ratios. Subjects Methods . Laboratory animals Chinchilla lanigera (n = 12) underwent intrapleural with 2% PLA/PCL 1/1 4% 1/3 materials. Morphometric assessment was carried out in14 28 weeks, were withdrawn from experiment by an anesthetic overdosing. Results When studying adjacent implant regardless differences its composition, similar signs observed. A fibrous capsule formed around implants, it more pronounced 1/3. In structure we noted growth loose dense unformed connective tissue blood vessels significant replacement polymer (by 2/3). Lymphocytes, plasma cells, single macrophages, multinucleated cells predominantly located at implant/tissue interface. all studied samples, no necrosis observed bed surrounding tissue. Conclusion data obtained confirm biosafety biomaterials demonstrate potential for their use surgical treatment humans.
